In this article it discusses how the Air force Wants 500 "Fake" social accounts and software to go with them that can help distribute the Air forces online presence without actually using the real people. This way the accounts can mislead someone who's trying to target them and all they end up finding is nothing but a decoy.

The question is, can having a fake alias or alternative persona be ethically moral? Before I would have said no, just be who you are, yes some tend to act different online, however we tend to act different in different environments anyway. In this case however I would say its more of a security tactic than a false persona, so I say in the security of the Air force, why not allow this.
